A Picture That Means More Than You Know

You may notice that we’ve recently changed the main photo on the ANGEL Senior Transitions website; The couple in the photo are our family—the parents of the family behind ANGEL. The picture was taken during a family weekend away, when everyone gathered for a special retreat.

At the time, no one was thinking about downsizing or senior transitions. But eventually, like so many families, circumstances changed. Their large home became too much, and a move to independent living became necessary.

Later, Dad became sick and passed away.

That journey gave our family a very personal understanding of what these transitions can mean. It's not simply about sorting, packing and moving belongings. It's about a home filled with memories, decades of possessions, and sometimes difficult decisions for the whole family.

That’s why this work means so much to us.

We’re proud to feature this photograph on the front page of Angel as a tribute to two wonderful parents—and as a reminder of the importance of family.

Because when we help another family through a transition, we know there’s much more behind the boxes and belongings.

There’s a lifetime of memories.

And we understand.
